The University of Zakho has concluded its inter-college volleyball championship, marking a significant sporting event within the university’s extracurricular activities and showcasing a high level of student athletic performance.

The final match took place on April 27, 2026, in the presence of the Vice President of the University for Students Affairs, Dr. Ramadan J.Mstafa, Dean of the College of Education, Dr. Sattar J. Haji and Dean of the College of Basic Education, Dr. Dilbreen A. Ali, along with a number of academic staff and students.

The championship was organized by the Department of Sports and Artistic Activities in collaboration with the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the College of Education, with participation from all colleges of the university.

The final match was held between the College of Science and the College of Basic Education. Following a competitive and high-level performance, the College of Science secured the championship title with a 2–0 victory.

At the conclusion of the event, awards and prizes were distributed by university officials to the participating teams and winners, with appreciation extended to the organizing committee and all participants for contributing to the success of the championship.
